MONTREAL

Urban Fabric Rugs

Signature collection

Material: 100% New Zealand Virgin Wool

Technique: Tufted and Hand-carved

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Our Signature Montreal rug depicts this cosmopolitan port city from the sky. This rectangular rug captures the bustling grid of metro Montreal as it meets the cobblestoned lanes of the Old Port neighborhood. Montreal took the world stage in the 60s with the arrival of Expo 67 World’s Fair, followed closely by the Summer Olympics in 1976. The two events brought a boom in construction to Montreal. New concrete infrastructure and numerous ambitious projects were built, including Moshe Safdie’s iconic Habitat 67. The Brutalist concrete masterpiece appears on the banks of the St. Laurence River and its concrete color inspired the Brutalist Concrete colorway of this luxuriously tufted rug.

The Signature rug is tufted at multiple cut pile heights with 100% New Zealand wool, then hand-carved to give the urban pattern a plush, 3D relief texture. Customized size, color or shape available by request.
