Our Signature Washington DC rug captures the iconic landmarks and stately avenues that define this U.S. capital’s urban fabric. The city's monumental core, designed by Pierre Charles L'Enfant in the late 18th century, features The National Mall as the symbolic centerpiece. The Mall defines a dominant axial layout of landmarks and parks. L'Enfant’s plan incorporates diagonal roadways that radiate outwards from these monuments and connect them, intersecting with the traditional grid pattern of the city plan. These diagonal avenues add dynamism to the urban landscape, breaking up the rigid grid and providing picturesque vistas of Washington DC’s iconic landmarks.
